Daniel P. Moses is a construction litigator representing developers, contractors, subcontractors, and other construction industry professionals. Dan applies first-hand experience working on construction projects to advising clients as they build commercial, residential, military, and governmental projects. Dan is known for his ability to quickly acclimate to the unique scenarios his clients encounter and provide practical, results-driven advice.
As a litigator and counselor to the construction industry, Dan resolves disputes related to breach of contract, statutory matters, schedule delays and disruptions, and equity-based matters. His experience also includes negotiating domestic and international military contracts, counseling in connection with federal acquisition regulations, completing transactions, and engaging in complex construction litigation. His work also includes mediation and negotiation efforts to resolve complex disputes with subcontractors, sureties, and owners.
Dan has accumulated hard to match, in-field insights that set him apart from other construction lawyers. Before becoming a lawyer, Dan worked in the construction industry. Starting in the industry as a laborer, Dan worked his way up to Project Manager and later Senior Contracts Manager for a large, international contractor before transitioning to the practice of law. Over the course of a decade, Dan acquired a critical understanding of the unique challenges surrounding large-scale construction projects both domestically and internationally. He was often involved in high-stakes projects located on the West Coast of the United States, Hawaii, and Guam in conjunction with the Naval Facilities Engineering Command and the United States Army Corps of Engineers. His work included evaluating and managing the risks associated with contract administration for multimillion-dollar projects and overseeing company project managers to prepare, submit, and defend Requests for Equitable Adjustment and Requests for Contracting Officer’s Final Decision. Dan also served as the company’s primary point of contact with outside legal counsel for litigation involving the Government and subcontractors.
