Hinckley Allen is pleased to announce several new hires to the Firm and the appointment of Donna Yergeau to Director of Legal Recruitment.
Samuel C. Breslin – Associate in the Litigation Group
Samuel joins the firm as an Associate in the Litigation Group, focusing on state and federal criminal defense and commercial litigation. His practice represents both individual and corporate clients in a variety of white collar and criminal matters. Samuel has expertise in the medical field, where he represents both individual physicians and corporate entities in investigations and formal prosecutions. He handles civil and criminal Medicare/Medicaid fraud matters on both a state and federal level. He received his J.D. from Albany Law School.
Robert L. Harris – Director of Professional Development
Robert L. Harris joins the Firm as the Director of Professional Development. Robert is responsible for all activities related to the training and development of lawyers and paralegals on issues of professional capability and client service. His primary focus is to manage training initiatives for all Practice Groups and to develop, implement, and oversee the training and development programs that grow and enhance the knowledge, skills and abilities of the firm’s attorneys. Robert works with the Managing Partner, Chief Operating Officer, Practice Group Leaders and others to build and maintain a professional development program in furtherance of the firm’s strategic goals. He received his J.D. from Boston University School of Law.
Cori Phillips Palmer – Associate in the Construction and Public Contracts Group
Corey joins the Firm as an Associate in the Construction and Public Contracts Group, where she will be handling dispute resolution, regulatory, and transactions matters. She received her J.D. from Boston College Law School, cum laude.
Melissa E. Paparone – Of Counsel in the Corporate Trust and Public Finance Groups
Melissa joins the Firm Of Counsel in the Corporate Trust and Public Finance Groups. Her corporate trust practice involves the representation of financial institutions that provide trustee and agency services to the financial markets, including municipal bonds, tender option bonds, secured transactions, corporate bonds, custody, and other related services. She has in-depth experience in representing corporate trustees on specialized agency transactions, including escrows, paying agencies, and collateral agencies. In addition to new transactions, Melissa advises corporate trust clients on risk management matters.
Melissa’s public finance practice is focused on tax-exempt financings where she represents both issuers and underwriters in various public finance transactions. She assists her clients in all aspects of public finance, including tax and blue sky issues. Some of her representative transactions include housing bonds, HUD 242 hospital financings, library bonds, personal income tax bonds, transportation bonds, civic facility bonds, industrial development bonds, municipal water bonds, bond anticipation notes, certificates of participation and sewer bonds. She has also served as a faculty member for the National Association of Bond Lawyers Fundamentals of Municipal Bond Law Conference since 2012.
Melissa received her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
Donna M. Yergeau – Director of Legal Recruitment
Donna works closely with the Managing Partner and is responsible for hiring entry-level and lateral associates and partners, as well as hiring paralegals. Donna handles all aspects relating to the summer program across all offices. Donna conducts orientations of all attorneys and paralegals, and coordinates on-campus interviews with various universities. Donna previously served as the Firm’s Legal Recruitment Manager.
