Hinckley Allen Names David Rubin Managing Partner

Hinckley Allen today announced that partner David J. Rubin has been elected to succeed Marc A. Crisafulli as the firm’s Managing Partner. Crisafulli, who has led the firm since 2011, will be joining the leadership team at Suffolk Construction, one of the region’s leading construction companies and a longtime client of Hinckley Allen.

“Marc’s leadership over the past three years—a challenging cycle for many in the legal industry—has positioned Hinckley Allen as a larger, stronger, and better-prepared firm than ever before in our 107-year history,” said Rubin. “I’m excited to build off those recent achievements to continue Hinckley Allen’s success,” Rubin added.

As Managing Partner, Rubin will focus on achieving the firm’s objectives to continue to effectively and efficiently serve our client’s needs and continue to aggressively recruit top talent. He will work closely with the Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer, Charles R. Reppucci, who will help oversee day-to-day operations at the firm.

Rubin has been an attorney at Hinckley Allen for more than 28 years and a partner of the firm for more than 24 years. As Chair of the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group, he has built a national practice in commercial real estate and finance, representing developers, retailers, construction companies, and financial institutions in the acquisition, permitting, development, financing, and leasing of office buildings, shopping centers, large apartment complexes, and mixed use developments.

In addition to being the Chair of Hinckley Allen’s Real Estate Practice Group for the past 11 years, Rubin has served as a hiring partner for 10 years and as a member of the Executive Committee. Rubin received his J.D. from Boston College and his B.B.A from University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

During the last three years, Hinckley Allen successfully opened two offices in New York, attracted a number of lateral partners and received several external acknowledgements, including top rankings in multiple offices as “Best Places to Work.”

“Hinckley Allen’s success is directly correlated to the relentless spirit of innovation and hard work of our attorneys” said Crisafulli. Rubin added “We will continue our commitment to fostering a collaborative culture that motivates our employees to operate at their personal best for the best interests of our clients.”
