Boston Blades, New England’s Leading Women’s Hockey Team, Strikes Unique Law Firm Mentoring Partnership with Hinckley Allen

BOSTON, Mass. – On Tuesday, January 14, 2014, the Boston Blades women’s professional hockey team announced its new multi-year partnership with Hinckley Allen, a Northeast regional law firm.  The Boston Blades is the only American team currently in the Canadian Women’s Hockey League (CWHL), with several players representing the United States in the upcoming Winter Olympics.

A key component of this partnership between the Boston Blades and Hinckley Allen is the establishment of a professional mentoring program for Blades players.  “The Blades believe that Hinckley Allen’s firm goals truly align with the team’s core values of excellence, commitment, and winning results on and off the ice,” said Aronda Kirby, General Manager of the Boston Blades.

By partnering with a women’s professional sports team like the Blades, Hinckley Allen hopes to grow their profile in the Boston and greater New England market while actively demonstrating the value that sports provides in society and especially today’s business environment.  ‘We’re excited about this partnership and continuing our work as ambassadors of what women can achieve, with a firm that has such an established and quality brand,” said Head Coach, Digit Murphy.

Marc Crisafulli, the firm’s managing partner, is spearheading the mentoring program with Blades players.  Engaging not only Hinckley Allen lawyers but also the firm’s network of business partners will increase growth and development of opportunities across a wide variety of career choices for women.  Hinckley Allen is committed to diversity and career advancement and is honored to help such dedicated and accomplished athletes  fulfill their desire to play professional hockey while maintaining a full-time career and improving their long-term opportunities.

“The Boston Blades’ tireless dedication to excellence and commitment to succeed at the highest level is a natural fit with the values we practice at Hinckley Allen. Many of us at Hinckley Allen, myself included, have daughters. We care deeply about helping this generation of young women develop into the next generation of successful women.  Not to mention the fact that a Boston Blades game is a fast, exciting, and a wholesome way for a family to enjoy hockey in the purest form.  These women can play!”

Crisafulli will participate in a ceremonial puck drop before the Blades face off against the Montreal Stars on Saturday, January 18 at Milton Academy. Puck drop is set for 7:35p.m.
